Lol, true. I never even knew the groups had forums until a few minutes ago when I noticed the "Conversations" thingy.

I think Introverts prefer to communicate online while Extroverts like real life conversation.

I'm subscribed to the ENFP, ENFJ, and INFJ mailing lists on yahoo groups (don't ask), and the INFJ list is by far the most active.

I originally had links to all the various type-related mailing lists at the bottom of each of the personality profiles on sixteenflavors; The INFPs had way more mailing lists than any other type.

I got ENFP on the test.. but I dunno if I'm much of an extrovert.... maybe I am. I can be quite weird sometime =P

BTW... I have that little plushie in the icon for this community ^.^

Yeah i can't figure out if i'm truely more introverted or extraverted...maybe equally? I don't know, I'm definately very sociable, but according to Jung i would be more of an introvert because i direct my focus inward...as in in order to recover and cope i need to be alone. Oh well :) I'm sure about the NFP parts ;)

Hi, I feel much the same about the INFP/ENFP. When I do the tests sometimes I come out one and sometimes the other. I think it probably depends on how I'm feeling. When I'm a bit depressed I come out more INFP. I don't cope too well if I can't have some solitude. Doing something 'up front' exhausts rather than energises me. However, I'm more consistently ENFP in the tests - interesting.

The ENFP person often has strong introverted sides. So to be in the middle of being an Extrovert and an Introvert and confused as to which one you are is not unusal at all. Yeah, the joys of being a minority in America.

I agree. Personally I am in between the scales of Introvert and Extrovert. Introverted doesnt necessarily mean one avoids social contact. It's just where one focuses themselves. Externally or Internally. I think ENFPs in general must be the same; kind of in between.

well yeah me too ...
I consistently test between 55/45 and 50/50 ... once I came in 40/60 on Introvert ...

I wonder if its the way the tests are worded? I answer truthfully, but maybe they arent "asking the right question" ... Im not sure what I mean, really - but I live my life in a very introverted way MOST of the time ... but theres this switch that can get turned on, I think, whenever I want/need it to ... and that doesnt seem to be asked about in the tests ...

I think when it comes down it ENFPs can just flip that "switch" as you said. We may have introverted tendencies, but when social situations arise we have no problem functioning within them. Quite the opposite I reckon. Besides, it's all part of one's character. I see ENFPs as the people who can be social and fun and are very close to people; but can also disappear on their own and meander to themselves in what are our personal little detours. Maybe that's just rhetoric, but either way it's a gift isn't it? o.o

EDIT: See this page

I quote "ENFPs need time alone to center themselves, and make sure they are moving in a direction which is in sync with their values."
